For the birthday girl

Bre was invited to a princess birthday party this weekend. She had so much getting all dressed up as Snow White and then had even more fun jumping in the bounce house with the dress on. We made this top and clip for the birthday girl. I say "we" because Breanna picked out the fabric and played so well while I sewed.

I used a new shirring method that I learned from this tutorial. I was a little intimidated at first, but it ends up being quite easy and so much fun! I am now a little obsessed with wanting to add shirring to everything I sew.

Growing so fast!

I can't believe how fast Ian is growing! Maybe it's because he is baby #2 and things are just so much busier than they were with Breanna, but I'm pretty sure he is just growing faster than his sister did. He is now 4 1/2 months and weighs somewhere around 15-16 pounds. He loves to sit in the baby seat and play with toys. He rolls from his tummy to back. Loves, loves, loves his sister. He giggles when he sees himself in the mirror and when Bre or his cousin Abby talk to him. He loves his rice cereal...the boy is an eater! His first two bottom teeth are peeking through. Oh, and yes he is balding, but new blonde hair is coming in.

Breanna is 2 1/2 now and so much fun! She loves to sing and dance and pretend. Her favorite currently is to play doctor and give us's probably because she went so many times this Spring, poor girl! She is the sweetest to her brother and likes to be mommy's big helper. She gets very shy and quiet around lots of kids at church or MOPS. She actually had the nursery workers thinking that she doesn't know how to talk yet, but then she lets it all out when she gets home!
Notice her legs...busy, busy!

First things first...

I never thought that I would start a blog. I am not a writer. In fact, my husband laughed at the idea. He knows that his math brained wife, would never keep up a writing blog. So this will mostly will be a blog with pictures and a few short stories of my adventures in motherhood.

A little about my blog name....

If you know me at all, you know that I am not patient when it comes to much. When I start a project, I want to finish it all in one sitting or least one day. My mom is ever trying to teach me the importance of taking the time to propery pin things (thanks for trying, mom!). I rarely like to use patterns, I would much rather design it much more fun in my opinion! So, I do spend some time ripping out seams and starting over. It's all part of the process!
